Po rozpusteni vzorku ve smesi kyseliny chlorovodikove s kyselinou dusicnou a kyselinou fluorovodikovou, stineni fluoridu pridavkem kyseliny borite a pridani roztoku hliniku a lanhtanu pro odstraneni rusivych vlivu se roztok doplni na predepsany objem. Meri se atomova absorpce titanu v plameni acetylen-oxid dusny pri vlnove delce 364,3 nm.
