V tejto európskej norme sa špecifikujú požiadavky na materiály, navrhovanie, výrobu, montáž, skúšanie a kontrolu oceľových zváraných vertikálnych valcovitých nádrží s plochým dnom, zhotovených na stavenisku nad povrchom zeme na skladovanie kvapalín pri teplote okolia a vyššej teplote, a určujú sa aj technické podmienky, ktoré sa musia dodržať (pozri prílohu A).
