V tejto európskej norme sa špecifikujú požiadavky zamedzujúce vnikaniu vody a skúšky na ohybné zapuzdrené vodotesné systémy, ktoré sú odolné voči šíreniu plameňa, a slúžia na ochranu a vedenie izolovaných vodičov a/alebo káblov v elektrických inštaláciách alebo v komunikačných sieťach so striedavým napätím do 1 000 V a/alebo jednosmerným napätím do 1 500 V.
