Táto norma špecifikuje prevádzkové požiadavky na predradníky (okrem odporových typov) so striedavým napájaním až do 1 000 V pri 50 Hz alebo 60 Hz spojené s trubicovými žiarivkami s predžeravenými katódami, ktoré sa prevádzkujú so štartérom alebo zapaľovačom, alebo bez neho a majú menovité príkony, rozmery a parametre podľa noriem IEC 60081 a IEC 60901. Vzťahuje sa na kompletné predradníky a na ich súčiastky, ako sú rezistory, transformátory a kondenzátory.
