Táto norma platí pre nové elektrické nákladné výťahy bez dopravy osôb s trakčnou kladkou alebo pohonom bez preklzávania a nové hydraulické nákladné výťahy trvalo namontované v zakázaných priestoroch a/alebo používané len oprávnenými alebo zaškolenými osobami (používateľmi), obsluhujúce pevné a trvalé úrovne nástupištia s nosnou jednotkou tvorenou jedinou plochou prepravnej jednotky, navrhnutou len na prepravu nákladu, pohybujúcou sa po pevnej trase (napr. nožnicové výťahy, výťahy s vodidlami) ktoré nie sú odklonené od zvislej roviny viac ako o 15° s menovitou rýchlosťou neprekračujúcou 1 m/s.
