Táto európska norma sa zaoberá bezpečnostnými požiadavkami na konštrukciu, výrobu, montáž, údržbu a demontáž elektricky poháňaných zvislých zdvíhacích plošín pripevnených ku konštrukcii budovy určených pre osoby so zníženou pohyblivosťou:pohybujúcich sa medzi vopred určenými úrovňami po vedenej dráhe, ktorej sklon sa neodchyľuje od zvislice o viac ako 15°;určených na používanie osobami s invalidným vozíkom alebo bez neho;nesených alebo zavesených na ozubenom hrebeni s pastorkom, na oceľových lanách, reťaziach, na skrutke s maticou, s trením/trakciou medzi kolesami a dráhou, na vedenej reťazi, s nožnicovým mechanizmom alebo na hydraulickom valci (priamo alebo nepriamo);s uzavretou jazdnou dráhou;s rýchlosťou nie väčšou ako 0,15 m/s;s plošinou, ktorá nie je úplne uzavretá.
