Tato mezinarodni norma urcuje elektrolytickou metodu pro stanoveni medi ve slitinach. Je pouzitelna pro stanoveni medi pri obsahu vyssim nebo rovnym 0,50 procent. Tato metoda neni zcela pouzitelna v nasledujicich specialnich pripadech, pro ktere by mela byt modifikovana tak, jak je popsano v priloze A nebo B: a) slitiny obsahujici cin nebo antimon; b) slitiny obsahujici bismut.
