Tato mezinarodni norma urcuje gravimetrickou metodu pro stanoveni kremiku v hliniku a ve slitinach hliniku. Tato metoda je pouzitelna pro stanoveni obsahu kremiku od 0,3 procent vyse. Tato metoda neni plne pouzitelna v nasledujicich specialnich pripadech, pro ktere by mela byt upravena tak, jak je popsano v priloze A nebo v priloze B. a) slitiny hlinik-kremik (obsah kremiku vyssi nez 3 procenta) a slitiny horcik-hlinik (viz. priloha A); b) slitiny hliniku, obsahujici cin nebo antimon (viz priloha B).
