Tato mezinarodni norma urcuje fotometrickou metodu pro stanoveni kremiku v hliniku a ve slitinach hliniku. Tato metoda je pouzitelna pro stanoveni obsahu kremiku od 0,02 procent do 0,04 procent. Metoda se nepouziva pro specialni pripady slitin hliniku obsahujicich cin a bismut. V teto mezinarodni norme nejsou tyto specialni pripady zpracovany.
