Summary:
The regulations in UIC Leaflet 301-1 define the accounting procedures to be used between railways undertakings for all tickets and supplements except reservations. UIC Leaflet 301-1 applies where UIC Leaflet 301 does not. The statement of account is compiled by the issuing RUs and covers the travel documents brought to account by the issuing offices in the course of the accounting month in question and in exceptional circumstances travel documents brought to account in previous months. It must be despatched at the latest on the 20th of the month following the month of issue in the case of travel documents issued and brought to account electronically, and at the latest on the 10th of the third month following the month of issue in the case of other travel documents. The account operation consists of paying the RUs concerned the exact shares which they are due on the basis of all the travel documents processed. The leaflet sets out the standards to be met in compiling statements of account. The data in electronic statements of account, obligatory since 1.1.1995, may be exchanged using all electronic channels.

Zusammenfassung: Das UIC-Merkblatt Nr. 301-1 beinhaltet die zwischen den Eisenbahnverkehrsunternehmen (EVU) für die Abrechnung der Fahrscheine und Ergänzungsscheine mit Ausnahme der Reservierungsausweise geltenden Bestimmungen. Die Bestimmungen des UIC-Merkblatt Nr. 301-1 gelten, wenn das UIC-Merkblatt Nr. 301 nicht anwendbar ist. Die Abrechnung wird von dem Ausgabe erstellt. Sie erstreckt sich auf die von den Ausgabestellen im Laufe des betreffenden Rechnungsmonats und ausnahmsweise auf die in früheren Monaten verbuchten Fahrscheine. Sie ist bei elektronisch ausgegebenen und abgerechneten Fahrscheinen spätestens bis zum 20. des Monats, der dem Ausgabemonat folgt, und bei den anderen Fahrscheinen spätestens bis zum 10. des dritten Monats nach dem Ausgabemonat zu übersenden. Der Abrechnungsvorgang besteht darin, den betroffenen EVU die genauen Anteile zuzuscheiden, die ihnen für die Gesamtheit der verrechneten Fahrscheine zustehen. Das Merkblatt legt die Standards für die Darstellung der Abrechnungen fest. Die Daten der elektronischen Abrechnung, die seit dem 01.01.1995 verbindlichen Charakter aufweist, können mit elektronischen Datenträgern ausgetauscht werden.
