Touto normou se zavádí ST SEV 2824-80 jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR norma RVHP nedoplňovala. Norma RVHP stanoví základní pravidla pro kreslení diagramů, které zobrazují funkční závislost dvou nebo více proměnných veličin v soustavě souřadnic. Norma neplatí pro diagramy kreslené registračními stroji. Hlavní standardizované údaje jsou osy souřadnic, měřítka zobrazení, stupnice a souřadnicová síť, čáry a body, označení veličin, psaní měřících jednotek a doplňující údaje. ČSN 01 3180 byla schválena 13.8.1982 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.1.1983
