Norma stanoví požadavky pro kreslení vytyčovacích výkresů všech druhů staveb. Vedle všeobecné části jsou normalizovány vytyčovací výkresy podrobného vytyčení a místopisy bodů. V přílohách jsou pak uvedeny jednak příklady výkresů, jednak příklad místopisu bodů. ČSN 01 3419 byla schválena 31.8.1987 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.6.1988. Nahradila ČSN 73 0128 z 7.11.1977
