Touto normou se zavádí ST SEV 1161-78 jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR norma RVHP nedoplňovala. Norma RVHP stanoví české a slovenské názvy, definice a označení funkčních a geometrických úchylek kuželových ozubených kol, soukolí a převodů s mimoběžnými osami. Norma obsahuje 67 hesel, v indexu (informační příloha č.2) jejich názvy v jazycích zemí RVHP a v angličtině, současně s příslušnými značkami. ČSN 01 4603 - 4. díl byla schválena 26.9.1980 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.1.1982
