Norma platí pro hydrostatické mechanismy a jejich prvky, ve kterých se používají minerální oleje nebo jiné kapaliny s podobnými vlastnostmi. Musí se používat současně s ČSN 11 9009. Platí pro výrobky zkonstruované a vyráběné po dni její účinnosti. Ve velmi stručné normě jsou stanoveny technické i výrobní požadavky a požadavky na montáž. Na rozdíl od starší normy ze dne 24.10.1981, která se touto normou ruší, nejsou v nové normě stanoveny žádné požadavky na hlučnost. Požadavky na vibrační stálost (čl.1.10) se týkají odolnosti proti vibracím, nikoliv vibrací, které vytváří hydrostatický mechanismus. ČSN 11 9007 byla schválena 14.5.1991 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.6.1992. Nahradila ČSN 11 9007 z 24.10.1981
