V této normě jsou zapracovány údaje z ISO 6780-1988 a 8611-1988. Norma platí pro konstrukci a výrobu vratných prostých palet (dále jen palet) jejichž základní parametry jsou v ČSN 26 9111 a stanoví jejich všeobecné technické požadavky a podmínky zkoušení. Poměrně rozsáhlá technická norma stanoví podrobně jak technické požadavky, tak zkušební metody. Je normalizováno 7 druhů kontrol a 8 druhů zkoušek zejména ověřujících pevnost palet. ČSN 26 9112 byla schválena 6.5.1991 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.9.1992. Nahradila ČSN 26 9112 z 29.10.1979
