Touto normou se zavádí ST SEV 4537-84 jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR doplnil 1 článek, který se týká ochrany zdraví. Zní: "Při hodnocení protizadíracích vlastností na ozubeném zkušebním převodu podle této normy je třeba dodržovat bezpečnostní předpisy podle ČSN 01 8003" - Zásady pro bezpečnou práci v chemických laboratořích. Norma RVHP platí pro mazací oleje tekutá (polotekutá) maziva. Princip metody a postup při provádění normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsán. ČSN 65 6280 byla schválena 16.11.1985 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.7.1987
