Norma je českou verzí mezinárodní normy ISO 9120:1998 (opravená verze). Tato norma popisuje metodu pro hodnocení schopnosti ropných průmyslových olejů odlučovat vzduch, který byl stržen do oleje. Vzduch se pod tlakem profukuje olejem při 25 °C, 50 °C nebo 75 °C. Potom se vyhodnotí únik dispergovaných vzduchových bublin z oleje stanovením hustoty jako funkce času. Z grafu se vyhodnotí čas, kdy se obsah dispergovaného vzduchu snížil na 0,2 % (V/V). Stanovení se může provádět na ručním i automatickém přístroji. Norma obsahuje používaná činidla, popis použitého přístroje, postup i vyjádření shodnosti. V příloze A je uvedena specifikace používaného teploměru.
