Norma platí pro zjišťování plochy, tvaru a množství výztuže v železobetonových konstrukcích a konstrukcích z předepjatého betonu. Slouží rovněž pro zjišťování makrostrukturálních defektů a vad těchto konstrukcí. Vedle stručných všeobecných požadavků jsou velmi podrobně normalizovány techniky zkoušení,včetně záznamů a dokladů o zkouškách. Je připojena kapitola V. týkající se oprávněnosti osob k radiografickému zkoušení a bezpečnosti práce. Jde v podstatě o dva články, které odkazují na ČSN 34 1725 a ČSN 34 1730 a vyhl. č. 59/1972 Sb. Za pozornost stojí odkaz na Směrnice CDS 2/73 (Zpravodaj FMHS č. 6/1973), podle nichž se provádí přezkušování znalostí osob. ČSN 73 1376 byla schválena 17.12.1975 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.1.1978
