Zkušební evropská norma určuje metodu pro stanovení obsahu ve vodě rozpustných chloridů v čerstvé maltě. Z čerstvé malty se připraví vodný výluh obsahující ve vodě rozpustné chloridy. Rozpuštěné chloridy se vysráží roztokem dusičnanu stříbrného. Přebytek dusičněnu stříbrného se potom titruje roztokem thiokyanatanu amonného. Výsledkem je procentický obsah Cl- ve zkoušeném vzorku
