Tato evropská norma stanoví jakostní třídění borovicové kulatiny. Týká se to borovice lesní (Pinus sylvestris), borovice černé (Pinus nigra), borovice přímořské (Pinus pinaster) a borovice paprsčité (Pinus radiata). Třídění se provádí buď podle článků 4 a 5 nebo podle přílohy A. Články 4 a 5 stanovují jakostní třídění pro kulatinu, u které není znám účel použití. Informativní příloha A stanovuje seznam vad, které slouží jako směrnice určující pro obchodní smlouvy jakost borovicové kulatiny, u které je znám účel použití.
