Norma se týká navrhování tenkostěnných za studena tvarovaných hliníkových plošných profilů. Vychází z obecných pravidel ČSN EN 1999-1-1 a doplňují se pravidla pro štíhlé plošné profily, které jsou ohrožené lokální ztrátou stability. Norma obsahuje potřebné údaje o materiálu, analýze tenkostěnných profil a posuzování mezních stavů únosnosti i použitelnosti. Jsou zde také potřebné údaje pro navrhování s pomocí zkoušek.
