Norma uvádí požadavky na vlastnosti mědí plátovaných laminátových desek vyztužených netkaným/tkaným E-sklem, impregnovaných bromovanou epoxidovou pryskyřicí, s definovanou hořlavostí (zkouška vertikálního hoření), určených pro bezolovnatou montáž, které mají tloušťky od 0,60 mm do 1,70 mm. Charakteristik hořlavosti se dosáhne použitím bromovaných retardérů hoření, které jsou součástí epoxidové polymerní struktury. Definovaná teplota skelného přechodu je nejméně 105 °C
