Norma uvádí požadavky vlastností mědí plátovaných laminátových desek z vrstveného tkaného E-skla, impregnovaného modifikovanou bromovanou epoxidovou pryskyřicí, s definovanou hořlavostí (zkouška vertikálního hoření) v tloušťkách od 0,05 mm do 3,2 mm. Charakteristik hořlavosti se dosáhne použitím bromovaných retardérů hoření, které jsou součástí epoxidové polymerní struktury. Definovaná teplota skelného přechodu je 150 °C a 190 °C. Přejímaná norma sestává ze 56 stran anglického textu evropské normy a xx stran dvojjazyčného anglického a francouzského textu mezinárodní normy IEC.
