Tato mezinárodní norma popisuje metodu stanovení korozivního působení kapalných ropných výrobků a určitých rozpouštědel na měď. Jsou zahrnuty těkavé výrobky s maximálním tlakem par 124 kPa při 37,8 °C. Těkavé výrobky s tlakem par vyšším než 124 kPa při 37,8 °C by měly být zkoušeny podle ISO 6251 (viz upozornění níže). Elektrické izolační oleje by měly být zkoušeny podle ISO 5662
