V1.2.1 Tato norma platí pro bezšňůrová zvuková zařízení, uživatelské radiomikrofony a příposlechová zařízení používající buď analogovou modulaci s šířkou pásma 300 kHz, nebo digitální modulaci FDMA 300 kHz, 600 kHz nebo 1 200 kHz. Kmitočtová pásma pro tato zařízení se mohou mezi jednotlivými zeměmi lišit podle specifikace v jejich národních předpisech. Všechna zařízení jsou určena k používání s vestavěnými anténami.
