Tato norma je českou verzí mezinárodní normy ISO 11165:1995. Mezinárodní norma ISO 11165:1995 má status české technické normy. Specifikuje požadavky na sušenou šalvěj (Salvia officinalis L.) [český název je "šalvěj lékařská"] uváděnou do oběhu jako celé nebo řezané listy. Mezi normalizovanými požadavky je i napadení hmyzem, plísněmi apod., stanovení příměsí apod. Norma tedy stanovuje i některé kvalitativní znaky (jakosti) významné pro hygienu výživy, popř. metody jejich zjišťování (ověřování). ČSN ISO 11165 (58 0526) byla vydána v srpnu 1998
