Tato norma se zabývá metodami digitálního výpočtu spektra rázové odezvy. Analýza není v žádném případě omezena na signály, které mohou být charakterizovány jako rázy. Norma stanovuje metody pro digitální výpočet spektra rázové odezvy (SRS) z daného vstupního zrychlení a to pomocí digitálních filtrů. Jsou uvedeny koeficienty filtrů pro různé typy spekter rázové odezvy spolu s doporučeními na odpovídající vzorkovací frekvenci.
