Tato norma stanoví požadavky, zkoušky a řízení jakosti svarových spojů podélně svařovaných žárově pozinkovaných*) ocelových trubek a tvarovek s hladkým koncem a hrdlem pro systémy odpadních vod obvykle pracujících bez tlaku pod samospádem nebo při nízkém hydraulickém tlaku. Pro účely této normy se komponentami rozumí trubky, tvarovky, spoje a těsnění. Tato norma platí pro komponenty používané pro odvádění - odpadních vod; - povrchových vod; - podzemních vod. Tato norma rovněž platí pro komponenty k odvádění jiných odpadních vod (např. průmyslových odpadních vod), pokud tyto vody nepoškozují komponenty nebo neohrožují bezpečnost a zdraví osob
