Touto desátou částí normy se zavádí ST SEV 2429-80 Výrobky zpracování ovoce a zeleniny. Metody stanovení sušiny, jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby ČSSR (ČSFR) popř. ČR norma RVHP nedoplňovala. Norma RVHP stanovuje vážkovou metodu stanovení celkové sušiny a refraktometrickou metodu stanovení rozpuštěných látek pro výrobky zpracování ovoce a zeleniny. Podstata normalizovaných metod a postup při provádění normalizovaných zkoušek je (podrobně) popsán. Norma tedy stanovuje postupy pro provádění některých zkoušek (metod) zjišťování a/nebo ověřování znaků jakosti, důležitých z hlediska hygieny výživy. ČSN 56 0246-10 byla schválena 11.6.1982 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.7.1982. Nahradila čl. 43, 60 a 61 ČSN 56 0246 z 30.9.1964
