Touto pátou částí normy se zavádí ST SEV 4253-83 Ovocná pulpa konzervovaná. Metoda stanovení hmotnostního podílu ovoce, jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby ČSSR (ČSFR) popř. ČR k normě RVHP doplnil jeden článek, který se nevztahuje k ochraně zdraví. Podstata normalizované metody a pracovní postup je (podrobně) popsán. Norma tedy stanovuje postupy pro provádění některých zkoušek (metod) zjišťování a/nebo ověřování znaků jakosti, důležitých z hlediska hygieny výživy.
